Reliability in Routine Operation

 

Discover a new level of laboratory performance. The respons®420c is a fully automated analyzer with random access sample handling, designed to deliver reliable results with a stable throughput of up to 420 tests per hour (or 620 tests/hour with the optional ISE module).

 

Thanks to its optimal balance of cost efficiency and ease of use, it is ideally suited for small and medium-sized laboratories.

 

Reaction System

 

The grating photometer is designed for maintenance-free operation and is equipped with 12 wavelengths, ensuring precise and reliable measurements. A wide photometric linearity range of up to 3.5 OD reduces the need for repeat measurements, increasing efficiency and accuracy.

 

The system features cuvette temperature control via contact heating through a metal block, requiring no maintenance and ensuring stable temperature regulation.

 

In addition, the twin test function supports the use of the DiaSys HbA1c net FS reagent, optimizing performance for specialized diagnostic applications.

 

Reagent Rotor

 

The respons®420c accommodates up to 40 DiaSys respons® reagent bottles in a refrigerated reagent rotor (2–8°C). In combination with dedicated respons® bottles, convenient single-step loading is ensured, including two-component reagents.

 

An additional 40 universal positions are available for samples, calibrators, or control materials.

 

Sample Rotor

 

The total number of positions is 102, including:

 

• 68 positions on the outer ring with automatic barcode reading;

 

• 34 positions on the inner ring dedicated to:• calibrators (10)
  • control materials (9)
  • STAT samples (11)
  • wash solutions (4)

The rotor supports all common primary sample tubes and containers, ensuring priority processing of STAT samples.

 

In addition, automatic dilution and measurement range adaptation in case of substrate depletion minimize manual handling, reduce repeat testing costs, and optimize turnaround time.

 

Advanced HbA1c Testing

 

The system provides fully automated whole blood hemolysis, eliminating the need for labor-intensive and potentially error-prone manual sample preparation.

 

HbA1c smart sampling technology ensures efficient erythrocyte aspiration even in samples with increased sedimentation rates by aspirating from the bottom of the tube.

 

After whole blood processing, intensive probe cleaning is performed, minimizing carryover and enhancing result accuracy and reliability.
